Festival move a family affair
CANCEL everything this Sunday, because your tastebuds would never forgive you if you missed the Food and Wine Festival.
And if your tastebuds did forgive you, your kids might not.
"It's going to be a really good day out for all the family," Coffs Harbour City Council's economic development manager Megan Dixon said.
"We've increased the family entertainment aspect of this year's festival with special kids' food stalls, face painting, carriage rides, a jumping castle and a Jumpstart Art competition.
"In total, 16 restaurants will be represented, with stalls from which you can choose a delicious meal or snack.
"We've also got six wineries coming along and a whole range of produce stalls to browse in, selling all sorts of things including punch, confectionery, pecans, sausages and gifts."
The day will culminate with a performance from music icon Wendy Matthews.
This year, the festival has moved to the Coffs Coast International Stadium, which offers easy parking and access. Bus services will be operating from Coffs and Sawtell, with the day to be held 11am to 6pm.
