Fashionistas? wow factor
WHEN talking about the 'Wow factor' in clothes design, it's hard to go past our local up-and-coming fashionistas.
Refining their art by undertaking Clothing Production Certificate lV/Design at Coffs Harbour Tafe, some of these trend-makers had the opportunity to see their creations on the catwalk as part of the 2005 Flair Fashion Awards.
Attracting hundreds of entries from across the country, with strong representation from young and student designers, the awards are a great way of getting your designs seen by 'those in the know'.
And who better to impress than this year's judges: leading hair designer John Adams, Peter Chadwick of Chadwick Model Management, and fashion stylist for more than 25 years Sylvana Tenace.
The Coffs Harbour students entered many sections including street wear, Fashions on the Field, cocktail wear, fantasy, and bridal.
They were thrilled to see their designs chosen for the finals and modelled in front of the packed crowd at Taree's Winning Post Function Centre.
