THE driver of this Subaru Impreza had a lucky escape from serious injury Saturday afternoon after his car was hit by a bus at Coffs Harbour's Arthur Street overpass roundabout.

Police said a Sawtell Coaches bus collided with the Impreza at 2.35pm.

The driver of the Impreza was treated at the scene before being taken by ambulance to the Coffs Harbour Health Campus. He was later released from hospital.

The driver of the bus was issued with a traffic infringement notice for failing to give way when entering a roundabout.

The accident was attended by Coffs Harbour police, ambulance and State Emergency Service members.
