Dipper? in Coffs for Auskick
NAB AFL Auskick Ambassador Robert 'Dipper' DiPierdomenico will continue his annual Northern NSW Road Show in Coffs Harbour this morning.
A larger than life figure in AFL circles, 'Dipper' be conducting a special NAB AFL Auskick promotion which includes Prime TV's Prime Possum in the City Mall from 9.00am.
Along with his team of NAB AFL Auskick volunteers, the Brownlow Medalist and five time Hawthorn premiership player will provide fundamental instructions and techniques to improve kid's handballing and kicking skills along with a range of other skills important in playing Australian Football.
Parents are encouraged to sign their children up for the 2007 NAB AFL Auskick program and the football legend is announcing a special incentive for all kids who sign up this year for Auskick.
Children registered by July 31 will go into a draw for their chance to win the 'competition of a lifetime' which involves being flown to Melbourne to play on the MCG at half-time of the 2007 Toyota AFL Grand Final - a once in a life time experience.
DiPierdomenico may be a bit biased when he promotes the game he loves so dearly but he believes he has strong words of wisdom for parents deciding what sport their child should play this winter.
"Get involved in this outstanding program and bring your child down to their local oval to join in the NAB AFL Auskick," he said.
"This weekend's clinic is sure to be a fun and enjoyable day for all involved whether it's your child's dream to one day become their favourite AFL star or simply to be part of this great game."
