Christmas gift of Holly

TONY and Erin Blanch are calling her the best Christmas present ever.

Holly May was born at 6.12pm on Christmas night at the Coffs Harbour Health Campus and she comes into the world as a third generation of festive babies.

Holly's grandfather celebrates his day of birth on Boxing Day and Holly's mother was born on December 27.

"We now have three in the family who are 'Christmas babies' which makes for a great celebration during the festive season," Erin said.

Arriving one week late, Holly was a big shock to the Blanch family who never expected to have their newest member born on December 25. She weighed seven pounds three ounces and is the Blanch's second child.

The family plans to celebrate Holly's birthday one week before Christmas each year so that when she attends school her friends will be able to have parties with her.

Holly's mother also said there wouldn't be combined presents for birthday and Christmas each year either because, as those who celebrate their birthday during Christmas time know, there is nothing worse.

Holly was the first of two babies born at the Coffs Harbour Health Campus on Christmas Day.
