COFFS Harbour was happy to welcome the cruise ship Silver Shadow on its recent visit to our waters and members of the Coffs Coast Outriggers were there to greet them.

Guests on board were delighted when a flotilla of canoes circumnavigated the ship to celebrate their arrival.

"Since then we have been busy with a 12km pursuit marathon on the Gold Coast where our Master Women's team thrashed the very talented Mooloolaba team," club spokesman Alison Hollier said.

"We also had a brilliant win in the mixed open race, a division in which we are consistently outclassing other clubs and finished second in the point score for the regatta.

"After a training camp at South West Rocks we are now ready for the much anticipated Coffs Cup. This is a major event on the outrigging calendar that attracts clubs from all over New South Wales and Queensland.

"The Coffs Cup, to be held this weekend, gets underway at 8am on Saturday with final races around lunchtime on Sunday.

"Come and enjoy the event with us on the northern end of Jetty Beach."
