Catch all the polocrosse action

THE Coffs Harbour Polocrosse Club will conduct their annual carnival at the Nana Glen Equestrian Showground this weekend.

Play will commence at 8.30am each day with the finals getting underway from 1pm on Sunday.

The first carnival of the year, Inverell, was successful for Coffs Harbour with the senior team winning C grade competition and the juniors runners-up.

Next was Guyra carnival, with the seniors taking out D grade convincingly and the junior team runners-up again.

This year, some Coffs Harbour members also participated in exhibition matches at the Grafton and Coffs Harbour Show.

"Then we were off to support the Queensland competition in May with Coffs attending the Warwick Shell Cup at Morgan Park War- wick," club spokesman Jayne Doolan said.

Other carnivals this year were Pallamallawa and Killarney.

"We're now asking locals to support our carnival by coming out to Nana Glen this weekend for some great polocrosse," she said.

"Even if you have never watched the game all games played on the main field are commentated so you will always know what's happening in our fast and exciting games, our canteen and bar will be open all weekend while competition is played and will cater for all your food and beverage needs with full amenities on the grounds."
