ASHES TO ASHES BUT NO PEACE FOR SAD FAMILY

THOSE who knew her would agree that Sue Dethridge had a fantastic sense of humour.
While she of all people would see the funny side of recent events, she would also acknowledge that the break and enter of her home and stealing of her ashes is no laughing matter.
The former Bellingen mayor passed away in June, 2003, and since that time her ashes have been stored in a locked cabinet, in the Dorrigo home that she shared with her husband, Barry.
Her family were planning to place the ashes with those of her daughter, who was buried many years ago in Victoria. That plan is now in jeopardy.
