And the rains came ?

On Saturday Coffs Harbour received its biggest dumping of rain for the year, and the region exceeded its monthly average with a recording of 223mm in just three days.

From the seven days until 9am yesterday Dorrigo received 213mm, while Taree got 127 and Nambucca Heads 61.

The rain on Saturday caused minor flooding of the Bellinger River which peaked near four metres at 11am.

Coffs Harbour SES attended 13 jobs for minor flooding, roof damage and a fallen tree. The Orara Way at Coldwater Creek was also closed for a short period because of the wet conditions.

The Bureau of Meteorology is expecting scattered showers today, and isolated showers and the chance of a thunderstorm tomorrow.
