Aanuka toast for breakfast
SUCCESS is certainly on the menu at BreakFree Aanuka Beach Resort in Coffs Harbour.
The property is the toast of the BreakFree resort network after recently winning the coveted Hotel Caterers Award for Excellence judged by Restaurant and Catering NSW/ACT.
BreakFree Aanuka Beach Resort received the title for the Northern NSW section ahead of rivals from the Hunter region, Mid North Coast and up to the Tweed border, from five-star properties down.
The general manager for Aanuka Mark Migala, said this was the first time the property had been recognised in the awards.
"I have been in the industry for 18 years and I have never come across such a passionate group of staff," Mr Migala said.
"They are the most important credit to this business and with a dedicated kitchen and floor staff of 50 their work is integral."
Mr Migala said he had been trying to get this level of service for years and now the business could look forward to capitalising on their achievement for next year.
Marketing manager for BreakFree Resorts Mark Jensen said the company was proud of the culinary achievements of the Coffs Harbour property.
"Located on absolute beach frontage in tranquil surrounds, Aanuka Beach Resort has been a popular venue of choice for holidaymakers and the conference and wedding market where facilities, food and service are always a highlight," Mr Jensen said.

The resort incorporates FINZ on the Beach restaurant featuring Pacific Rim cuisine by executive chief Michael Ellis.
