5000 reasons to smile

DAVID Hopkinson this week dreamed his wife, Miranda, would win money and yesterday that dream came true.

Miranda was drawn from the thousands of entries to the Advocate's 'Your Chance to Win $50,000' competition to have one chance of winning the five-figure sum.

Yesterday, faced with 100 sealed envelopes' she chose envelope no.2 her daughter Laycie's age.

When it was opened, the big prize wasn't there but there was a note saying the Hopkinson family had won $5000.

"That will pay for a family holiday to Fiji where David and I can renew our vows after 10 years," a thrilled Miranda said.
