Coffs Harbour icon heads for auction

A LANDMARK Coffs Harbour building that holds a special place in The Coffs Coast Advocate's history will go under the hammer next week.

The former Advocate building at 53 Moonee St, an iconic building recently vacated by APN Media, will go to auction on Thursday onsite from 11am.

Comprising a ground floor footprint of 644m2, the building also has an upper office space of 322m2.

Selling agencies The Edge Commercial and The commercial Real Estate Agency share a joint listing on the commercial offering.

Noted as a blue ribbon CBD opportunity, the site is said to have boundless opportunities for occupation and redevelopment including multiple tenancies, larger occupiers or medical operators.

Since the move from the long-term home of The Advocate, albeit just around the corner, to 144-148 West High St, the newspaper has embraced a new era in distributing the Coffs Coast's community paper free-of-charge to 62,000 properties and businesses each week.
