Amy is leading the way

COFFS Harbour Motorcycle Club rider Amy Wedd finished runner-up in her division at the Australian Dirt Track titles in Old Bar.

Amy, 20, made the podium in the women's pro championship after just five years experience at racing competitively.

She was the only club member to reach the medal stage.

Club teammate Alec Hurst competed in the under-19 championship where he placed fifth overall in the final.

Alec made it into the repechage in all three disciplines. Others competing were Dean King, Greg Parsonage and Greg Butcher.

International competitor Beau Beaton injured his shoulder when he high-sided off his motorbike and was forced to withdraw.
