THE PACIFIC Highway is closed in both directions at Urunga due to a two car accident near Newry Street.

Light vehicles are able to use local diversions while heavy vehicles are being parked on site.

Motorists are advised to use an alternative route or expect delays.

Emergency services are working to free a trapped occupant.
