Afternoon robbery while resident cleaned their car

A SHOAL Point resident was cleaning their car near their garage when they went inside to take a phone call – giving an opportunistic thief just enough time to strike.

The resident on O’Brien Esplanade went inside the home to answer the phone on Saturday about 3.30pm, leaving the garage door open.

A thief entered the garage and stole a computer bag containing an Apple Macbook and reading glasses which were on the ground next to the vehicle.

Anyone who may have witnessed some suspicious activity in the area or who has information about the matter is encouraged to contact police as soon as possible.

Phone Policelink on 131 444.
