Absolute disgust

AS THE secretary of CHERI it was with great excitement I attended the marking out of the youth plaza on Saturday. The rain couldn't dampen my joy that we have moved another step closer to this project becoming a reality.   It was fantastic to see Mayor Denise Knight, Cr Robert Palmer and other stakeholders attend.   I was however somewhat surprised to see Cr Nan Cowling in attendance.   I was more surprised when Cr Cowling, who has been bitterly opposed to this project, line up with the rest of us for the group photo published in Wednesday's Advocate.   That surprise quickly turned to disgust when Nan voiced her opinion during photo session that she did not support this youth space project and we would be pulling the skate park down in two years.   THERESE CONLON
