ABC presenter looked at child porn

A FORMER television presenter looked at pornographic material involving up to 2173 children before he was discovered by police, a court has heard.

Andy Muirhead, former host of ABC children's program The Collectors, pleaded guilty in the Tasmanian Supreme Court on Tuesday to three child pornography related offences.

The 35-year-old is said to have regularly accessed child pornography though a file sharing program at his Hobart home.
According to the Herald, some of the material involved children as young as three.

Muirheard was arrested in June, 2010.

The sentencing hearing continues.
