Abbott on his Pollie Pedal

LEADER of the Federal Opposition, Tony Abbott, is expected to be pedalling through Coffs Harbour today on his way from Grafton to Dorrigo as part of his annual Pollie Pedal fundraising bike ride.

While he is not expected to be stopping in Bellingen, a drink stop at Thora Store at about 2pm has been scheduled before he and his fellow cyclists tackle the scenic but strenuous, Dorrigo Mountain.

This year’s chosen charity is the Poche Centre for Indigenous Health.

Funds raised will be used to pay for clinical outreach positions for young doctors in remote communities in western NSW and the Northern Territory.
