Abandoned home gutted in raging fire to Coast's south

AN ABANDONED home has been destroyed by fire south of the Sunshine Coast this morning.

Four Queensland Fire and Emergency Services crews were called to Dux St, Caboolture, where the home was "fully involved” on arrival at 1.35am.

The crews with breathing apparatus equipment battled the blaze for almost 20 minutes with the fire under control by 1.50pm.

A QFES media spokesman said the fire was all out and the scene was safe by 2.54am.

Queensland Ambulance Service paramedics were on standby but were not required.

At 8am, the QFES Fire Investigators arrived on scene.
