A Star Wars blockbuster 30-years in the making

STAR Wars fans will honour their favourite Jedi, Sith Lords and Wookie to celebrate the premiere of the The Force Awakens this Wednesday.

Sell-out crowds of fans will descend on Birch Carroll Coyle Coffs Harbour and other cinemas nation-wide for the viewing of the two-hour epic.

"We can run all five cinemas if we have to ... Even the final Harry Potter films were big but nothing like this," BCC general manager Sue Mahoney said.
