CROSSMAGLEN Public School’s brand new multi-purpose undercover area got the christening of a lifetime yesterday when the Australian Youth Orchestra set up underneath it to give students a show.

Students from Crossmaglen Public School, Bonville Public School and William Bayldon Public School enjoyed a special concert from the orchestra, along with various community organisations.

“It was just fantastic, absolutely gobsmacking,” Crossmaglen Public School principal Leon Grace said.

“We had no idea the first day our new area was available we’d have the Australian Youth Orchestra here performing under it.

“The kids were thrilled and had a great time.”
