Golden opportunity for jobseekers

MCDONALD'S is due to open its new Nambucca outlet in December and owner David Munro is keen to get locals on the team.

“The restaurant is well under construction and once opened will inject about $750,000 in employee wages into the local economy,” Mr Munro said.

“During this building phase there has been work for local tradespeople and now we are seeking people for all the different areas of the restaurant - from front counter, kitchen, drive-thru, the McCafe, maintenance and cleaning.”

He said the 80-100 positions would particularly suit young people who are seeking flexible work hours to fit around family, study and sporting commitments.

Applications for positions are available from ETC and Tursa Employment, Nambucca Heads.

The closing date for applications is October 22, 2009.
