New calf for Pet Porpoise Pool

THE Pet Porpoise Pool’s population has grown by one.

‘Calamity’ gave birth yesterday under a full moon in just under an hour of labour.

Pool staff said the calf – yet to be sexed or named – was very active and suckling well.

“The much-anticipated arrival of this calf is both exciting and exhilarating,” said Pet Porpoise Pool CEO Paige Sinclair. “The birth was watched quietly by a team of staff and volunteers who spend countless hours at the Park caring for all the animals.”
