Coffs celebrates St Pat's day

IT WAS a grand day, to be sure, during St Patrick’s Day celebrations at the Coffs Hotel yesterday as Max and Sam Phillips joined Wayne ‘Wal’ Walton in a traditional toast at the Shamrock Bar.

Revellers ate their way through more than 100 kilos of Irish stew and sank at least 1000 litres of Guinness.

Coffs Hotel licensee Martyn Phillips said it was the ‘number one’ day on the pub’s calendar and a St Patrick’s Day parade up Harbour Drive could well be on the cards next year.
