FUNDING of $7000 has been made to Arts Mid North Coast to help develop local artistic and cultural programs.

Local MP Andrew Fraser said the money would help Arts Mid North Coast to continue its creative work in the community, providing local residents with access to artistic and cultural resources.

He said Arts Mid North Coast was one of 14 across NSW which fostered partnerships and relationships with a range of arts and non-arts funding bodies to help finance specialised arts and cultural programs tailored to meet the needs of individual regions.

It is estimated there are more than 1200 local arts and cultural groups across the state's 100 local government areas supported by the Regional Arts Boards.
