7 perfect cold-weather meals from Toowoomba cafes

THE weather is cooling off and many cafes around Toowoomba are adjusting their menus to suit the colder days.
As we head into winter more food outlets will add winter warmer dishes to their menu, but at the moment there are a few places you can get something to warm your insides such as a peppermint hot chocolate or delicious soup.
Here is a list of seven places you can warm your tummy in the Garden City.
1. Sweet Talk Coffee
Everyone loves a good hot chocolate come autumn and winter.
While all cafes sell a version of the chocolatey drink, Sweet Talk Coffee is offering a peppermint hot chocolate topped with cream.
2. Max Brenner
Max Brenner is known for its chocolatey treats, and the hug mugs become increasingly popular in the cooler months.
The hug mug is shaped perfectly to fit around your hands, so while your drink it will not only warm your insides but your hands as well.
3. Bunker Espresso
Bunker Espresso has three 'Woolly Jumper Body Warmers' - which are three type of drinks designed to keep you toasty warm while the weather is cool outside.
They have a selection of three including a bounty chocolate drink, tumeric spiced latter and ginger spiced latte.
4. Milk and Honey
Milk and Honey is known for their simple yet delicious menu.
Its house-made crumpets are a favourite all year round, but are the perfect cold-weather treat when you pair it with a side of bacon, whipped butter and maple syrup.
5. Sage and Butler
Porridge is a winter staple, a great way to beat those icy mornings we have in Toowoomba.
Sage and Butler is taking your porridge to the next level, serving barley porridge with raspberries and coconut shavings.
6. Homegrown Health
Soup is the ideal winter-warming meal. It isn't something cafes make all year round because it's designed for the cold weather.
Homegrown Health sells a range of healthy meals, catering for all dietary requirements, and its latest zucchini, garlic and bacon coconut soup is the perfect dish. It's also gluten and dairy free.
7. Ortem
Ortem is a cafe that's always coming up with yummy extras to add to its menu.
On the weekend it announced its new limited-time sweet board which consists of warm red velvet French toast with cheesecake cream, chocolate ganache, hazelnuts, berries and dollop cream.
