A father and son were confirmed dead in the NSW town of Cobargo, following news overnight that a firefighter was killed in a truck rollover near the NSW/Victoria border town of Albury.

Severe fire danger has also been forecast for Exmouth Gulf Coast and Gascoyne Coast in Western Australia to see out 2019.
