LOCAL hockey talent Aidan Neaves has returned from a week-long tournament at Bathurst with plenty of pats on the back from state selectors.
The 14-year-old represented the NSW Bushrangers at the under-16s Australia Wide Level 2 Tournament and played really well in goals and roaming the field.
Neaves conceded just four goals while he was playing as the ’keeper for the Bushrangers and his team suffered just one loss all week to make the final.
Unfortunately, for Aidan and his team, they were beaten 4-2 in the final after a hard-fought effort.
The tournament was the culmination of a busy hockey season for the talented junior, his sights now set on touring overseas with the NSW Bushrangers in 2011.
