10,000 signatures for Yamba centre

10,000 SIGNATURES in two weeks – that’s the goal set for a petition calling for a comprehensive medical centre to be built in Yamba to provide better access to health services for Lower Clarence communities.

The idea for the petition was the outcome of a Lower Clarence Health Forum held on Friday at the Treelands Drive Community Centre, Yamba, by Independent candidate for Clarence Richie Williamson.

Among the guests and speakers to attend were representatives of the Northern NSW Local Health Network, representatives of Clarence Valley Health Service Providers, and Lower Clarence Health Advocate Jim Agnew.

“There were 36 people from the community there as well, which I think is a strong result.”
