Bring on the clowns

FESTIVAL appearances, headlines shows, sold-out gigs - Watussi are on a roll. 

Second album El Olvido has just been released to rave reviews.

Produced by Joel Hamilton, who's worked with Tom Waits, Elvis Costello and Talib Kweli, the album puts Watussi (pictured) in the big leagues. 

To celebrate, they're funking up and down the East Coast, headlining a cracker of a show at the Ocean View Hotel on February 25.

Supported by progressive roots band Oka, Watussi and crowd will also be witness to some freaky tricks by the crew from Circus Amorphus.

The night will be kicked off by DJ Noodles, one-time winner of Triple J's Mix Up Mix of the Year Award.
