Police reacted quickly to a call of an assault and robbery at Centro Toormina.
A WOMAN was assualted and robbed at Centro Toormina.
The incident occurred about 3.30pm on Sunday afternoon when a woman was violently attacked and robbed.
Police quickly arrived on the scene but at this stage it appears the assailant managed to flee the scene.
A crime scene has been established near the staff entrance of the south end of the shopping centre.
It's believed a forensic investigation is currently underway to uncover further evidence.
The victim is currently being treated in hospital.
The NSW Police media unit will be revealing more details later on Sunday evening.
