After days of inconvenience the picture is beginning to brighten for Bellingen-Dorrigo drivers
ROADS in the Bellinger Valley through to Dorrigo are slowly being reopened.
However, Bellingen SES advises motorists to proceed with caution as sudden rainfall can change the position quickly.
This was the case last night when not long after a landslide blocking Waterfall Way was removed, a second slide caused a further temporary closure until road crews could clear the debris.
In the latest release of information, Kalang Road, Hydes Creek Road and Lavendars Bridge have been reopened.
North Bank Road has also reopened but some water remains on parts of the surface and caution is required.
But Darkwood Road at Leans Bridge is still closed until further notice.
SES spokesman Bill Schipp said volunteers are looking forward to some respite in coming days but revealed there are indications of more heavy downpours in the foreccast for Tuesday.
