Nortec completes campaign early

EMPLOYMENT provider Nortec has claimed a major success completing its 1000 jobs in 100 days campaign 14 days ahead of schedule.

Nortec made its 1007th job placement this week.

Nortec Coffs Harbour accounts manager Sharon Matthews said among the job seekers who found work were Victoria Walker.

“She and two others were placed with Telstra,” Ms Matthews said.

“Local Telstra manager Tony Cameron employed Ms Walker after a ‘meet the employer’ day held recently in Coffs Harbour.”

Ms Matthews said a statistical analysis of the job placements so far has revealed that just over one-quarter (267) were in the Coffs Harbour area. Almost 40 per cent (392) were in the Northern Rivers and Richmond regions.

Almost one-quarter of all the placements were in the hospitality sector (24.2 per cent) ahead of retail (18 per cent); administration (17.7 per cent), and; trades (9 per cent).

The 1000 jobs in 100 days campaign finishes on November 8, and employers still have a chance to win $1000 for the charity of their choice if they lodge a job vacancy before then. Employers can call 1800 667 832 or lodge their vacancy online at www.nortecltd.com. au.
