Beau Champion scores a fine disallowed try despite the attention of former Sawtell Panther Kevin Gordon.
GOLD Coast winger Kevin Gordon asked his coach John Cartwright for a special favour on Thursday and he was thrilled that the Titans’ mentor agreed.
Gordon desperately wanted to play in the club’s trial match against South Sydney on Saturday night as he played all of his junior football with Sawtell which is only a three minute drive from Coffs Harbour’s BCU International Stadium.
Gordon hadn’t received a medical clearance to play after off-season surgery on his hip, until the word.
“I’ve been in rehab for the first few months and only just got back into it at the start of this year,” Gordon said.
“I’m just happy to be playing.”
