NORTH Coast Football has elected five new members to its Board of Management at its annual general meeting held last weekend at Woolgoolga.
The NCF Board runs the football zone from Macksville in the south to Iluka in the north and as far west as Dorrigo and meets on a monthly basis all year round to manage the direction, playing conditions and budget of the local competition.
Returning to the Board are chairman Chris Eddy, Alex Morrison and Ron Garvin while Fran Short, Nigel Hayes, Jason Breton and Jason Gordon have all stepped down.
NCF is excited to welcome five new faces to the board;
Michael Lamont – Former Woolgoolga president and current chairman of the Junior Standing Committee.
Phil Holt – Former board member of Holiday Coast Soccer and of Northern NSW Football, the Governing body of NCFZ.
Peter Rowe – Coffs Coast Advocate chief of staff and former CEO of Swindon Town, UK.
Barry Quayle – Retired player, currently working with the MAS National Apprenticeships Support service in Coffs Harbour.
Leigh Martin – President of Sawtell Chamber of Commerce and owner of the Fig Restaurant in Sawtell.
Each of the new board members brings to North Coast Football their own experience, business acumen and love for the world game.
NCFZ operations manager Bob Harris said he is very excited at the prospect of working with the new board.
“This team brings to our organisation not only a wealth of experience from the broader business community but also a passion for the beautiful game,” he said.
“The myriad of skills we now have on the new board of directors are essential requirements to manage football in the 21st Century.”
