Rabbitoh ‘sportraits’ for charity

SOUTH Sydney footballers John Sutton and Beau Champion are in for a new experience - having their 'sportraits' painted by Coffs artists for charity.

VISITING rugby league players John Sutton and Beau Champion regularly combine on the football field but what is lined up for them on the weekend is a totally new experience.

The South Sydney footballers will be sitting for their portraits at the Coffs Harbour Regional Gallery this Saturday November 28 from 4.15pm.

Invited artists will paint and sketch their Rabbitohs subjects in a relaxed and informal sitting, with the public welcome to attend.

Observers may simply watch the sitting in progress or engage with the artists and footy stars while the activity is under way.

Refreshments will be available and a small entry fee of $5 (or $10 per family) will be charged.

At the completion of the exercise the ‘sportraits’ of John and Beau will be donated to charity.
