Man trapped after smash

[BREAKING NEWS]: A MAN trapped in a concrete truck after it rolled more than 30 metres down an embankment has finally been freed.

A MAN trapped in a concrete truck after it rolled more than 30 metres down an embankment at around 9am this morning has finally been freed.

Police, ambulance, firefighters, a Hazmat vehicle and the Westpac Rescue Helicopter were on scene at a banana plantation near the intersection of Rickards Rd and Johnsons Rd at Sandy Beach.

It is believed the man is in his 40's and is a Woolgoolga local.

Access was difficult and paramedics had to be winched in. Surgeons from Coffs Harbour were also on scene to assist paramedics. 

A trauma team was on standby at the Coffs Harbour Base Hospital to recieve the man.
