WITH the semi finals now in sight, Coffs Breakers are streaking toward the minor premiership in Abigroup Mid North Coast Rugby with home town rivals Coffs Crushers emerging as their most likely rival.
Breakers weren't suited by the heavy conditions but had few problems disposing of Kempsey 38-22 on Saturday, and wet weather forced the cancellation of Crushers' meeting with Port Pirates A but the other early season front-runners are now doing it tough.
Hastings Valley are still splitting the northern pair on the competition ladder but were forced to pull out all stops to beat a much-improved South West Rocks.
Port Pirates B and Bowraville are now right
off the pace with their weekend match also washed out.
The only sad note for Coffs Rugby is the demise of the Under 19 side with the Colts forfeiting to South West Rocks, leaving them stranded at the bottom of the competition ladder.
