Trio charged with murder will spend Christmas behind bars

THREE family members charged over the brutal murder of man at the Coffs Harbour Jetty will spend Christmas behind bars.

North Boambee's James Moore, 26, his mother Michele Kathleen Moore, 49 and her partner Brendan James Price, 41, allegedly bashed a 50-year-old with a metal pole and piece of wood on the afternoon of October 28.

The victim later died at Newcastle's John Hunter Hospital.

All three accused were represented by their legal team in the Coffs Harbour Local Court yesterday.

Magistrate Alex Mijovich ordered the DPP to provide briefs to the three by January 15 ahead of their next court date on January 29.
