IT WILL be a busy week for the Gold Coast Titans when the NRL side makes the trip south to Coffs Harbour to hold a five-day training camp at Novotel Pacific Bay Resort.

Locals will have plenty of opportunities to get up close and personal with their NRL idols, with the squad also holding a handful of community events.

Titans Football Manager Scott Parker was looking forward to the five-day camp.

"Every year we hold a training camp and it is always something the players look forward to," Parker said.

"Coffs Harbour has always been a destination the club has enjoyed visiting.

"In previous years we have held our camp in January but we felt it was important to get away earlier this time around." Parker said one of the highlights for the players will be the Titans' super clinic on December 6. "The boys can't wait for the super clinic," he said.

"The opportunity to interact with local juniors is something the players all enjoy and I'm sure it will be no different this time around."

While openings for the super clinic have sold out, fans will still have their chance to see the Titans in action when the NRL side hosts an open training session at BCU International Stadium on the same day.

Titans' stars will also have the honour of turning on the Coffs Harbour Christmas lights.

"Turning on the Christmas lights is a bit of a novelty and something the club is really honoured to do," Parker said.

"On top of the school visits we will be doing, it is something the squad is looking forward to.

"Every opportunity to get involved in the community is great and makes camps like this worthwhile."

Parker confirmed Coach John Cartwright would be bringing his best available squad for the five-day camp.

"With the exception of one or two players coming back from injury everyone will be making the trip," he said.

"It is sure to be a packed schedule for the boys but we are all excited for what will be a great week."
