IN a tense Saturday afternoon at Richardson Park the Sawtell/Toormina Saints lost to Grafton Tigers 13.8 (86) to 13.6 (84).

There was nothing between the two as Grafton were behind in all three quarters, only to snatch the win under the noses of the Saints in the final quarter.

The game was an indicator of what is in store for this year's finals as the Tigers booked their second semi-final spot for this season.

The Saints, having already qualified for the semis, must be reeling after the poor fourth quarter presented Coach Russ Mathews with issues of complacency ahead of the crucial match-ups.
