THE glam factor was cranked up to 10 as Toowoomba women took to the runway in the first heat of the Zoo Weekly Australian Swimsuit Calendar Model Search.

The first of four heats was held at the Cube Hotel, with contestants battling against each other for the judges' crucial points.

Event organiser Amanda Buchan said the first heat was a tightly fought battle and the remaining heats were shaping up to be the same.

"We actually already have more people signed up for the remaining heats, but we always have room for more," she said.

If you think you have what it takes to make it to the world finals to be held in the Bahamas or maybe just pick up a swag of other fantastic prizes along the way, contact Amanda on 0411 599 255 or
