THE dress rehearsals are over and the curtain is ready to go up on Sweet Charity, the new production from Coffs Harbour Musical Comedy Group.

The all singing, all dancing spectacular hits the stage at Jetty Memorial Theatre in Coffs Harbour tomorrow night and runs until May 26.

Neil Simon's classic romantic comedy made hits of such songs as Hey Big Spender and Rhythm of Life.

It's a poignant and funny look at the misadventures of gullible and guileless Charity Hope Valentine, a dance hall hostess who always gives her heart and her dreams to the wrong man.Charity sings, dances, laughs and cries her way through a string of disastrous romances, supported in her quest for true love by her fellow workers, who are always there to pick her up when things don't quite go to plan.

The production features the acting, singing and dancing of many talented local actors including Cath Beynon, Peter Hodges & Di O'Ferrall.
