Police keep the public away from the Toormina residence of a woman allegedly murdered yesterday.

POLICE continue to search for evidence at the Toormina home of a 43-year-old woman whose body was discovered inside a Bowraville home yesterday.

Crime scene tape has the address blocked off to the public and officers remain on duty this morning.

Adam John Kennedy has been charged with alleged murder by Taree detectives after officers attached to Manning/Great Lakes Local Area Command stopped a Holden Commodore on the Pacific Highway.

Kennedy has been refused bail to appear at Port Macquarie Local Court on Monday.
