MILLISECONDS between mouse clicks were the difference between securing online tickets to Russell Crowe's hugely popular Indoor Garden Party and missing out.
Online ticket allocations to next month's four shows at Coffs Harbour's Jetty Memorial Theatre were exhausted within minutes with purchases made from around the world.
Then when tickets went on sale through the theatre's box office for Coffs Coast residents, the lines stretched out the door, round the corner and down the road, according to theatre manager Dave Brammah.
"The 'locals only' tickets sold out within two hours," theatre manager Dave Brammah said.
"In my two years here I have never seen four shows in a row sell out like that.
"Russell specified that he wanted half of the tickets sold through the box office so locals had a chance to see the show."
Around 1,000 lucky people will get to see the Indoor Garden Party shows staged on January 10-13.
The unique production has already played in London, St John's Newfoundland and recently in New York City at the Gramercy Theatre and Joe's pub.
Special guests at those shows have included fellow Hollywood A listers Ben Affleck and Hugh Jackman.
