Robbery investigations continue

POLICE are continuing their inquiries following an armed hold-up at a Woolgoolga club in the early hours of Sunday morning.

The manager of C.ex Woolgoolga on Boundary Street was confronted by a balaclava-clad man wielding a large machete just after 6am.

The offender stole a sum of cash before running from the club.

The victim, a 62-year-old man, was uninjured in the incident.

Police from Coffs/Clarence Local Area Command attended the scene and conducted inquiries.

A crime scene was established and examined by forensics officers.

Local detectives are now seeking public assistance to identify and locate the offender, who's described as being of Caucasian appearance, 188-190cm tall with a thin build.3

At the time of the incident, he was dressed in black clothing from head to toe and had his face concealed with a black balaclava.

Anyone who witnessed the robbery or any suspicious activity in the vicinity of the Boundary Street bowling club is urged to contact Coffs Harbour Police Station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
