Man arrested over Bonville robbery
A MAN has been charged over a robbery at Bonville earlier this year where shots were fired.
Police said after extensive investigations, a 24-year-old man was arrested in Armidale on Wednesday.
The charges relate to an incident on a Butlers Rd property on Tuesday, February 28.
Abouth 10pm, two victims arranged to meet three men in order to purchase a quad bike and a dirt bike.
Police said during the meeting one of the victims was allegedly assaulted while the other was threatened with a firearm.
It's alleged an amount of money was stolen and when the victims chased after those responsible, a number of shots were fired at them.
The incident was reported to police officers attached to the Coffs/Clarence Local Area Command.
Investigating officers later seized a stolen car, which had been used by the three men.
The 24-year-old has been charged with with robbery in company whilst armed with a dangerous weapon.
The man has been refused bail and will appear at Armidale Local Court later today.
Investigations are continuing to establish the identities of the other two men allegedly involved.
