COFFS Coast’s very own eco-house is well on the way to completion.

Nangara Eco House, the brainchild of local Ben Luffman, is being constructed to give residents an idea of how easy and affordable it can be to incorporate sustainable building features into new homes.

The first post was hammered at the site in Noomba Close in Toormina at the beginning of April and things have been full steam ahead since.

“It is all coming together nicely with no major issues or delays,” Mr Luffman said.

“The frame is up and the roof goes on next week. You can really get a good feel for the place now.”

The house has been designed by the local award-winning Schimminger Architects and will be open to the public on completion, expected to be in the next few months.
