GRAFTON Hockey's favourite sons have shone brightly in their respective World Series Hockey matches in India over the past few days.

Robert Green hammered home the winning goal to guarantee his side, the Chandigarh Comets, a berth in the semi-finals of the inaugural tournament.

Captain Brent Livermore played his part in keeping the Chennai Cheetahs in top-four contention as they downed the Delhi Wizards 6-4.

The Cheetahs were trailing midway through the second half of the match, but exploded late to score three goals in four minutes and overtake the Wizards.

Grafton's Peter Kelly is also a member of the Cheetahs' squad.

With only one round remaining before the finals the Cheetahs tentatively hold fourth position.

They must beat the wooden spooners Mumbai Marines convincingly to improve their goal-difference and therefore chances of holding that position into the semis.

Green's Comets are safely locked into second position with one match to play against the third-placed Karnataka Lions.
