Get into funk and junk at Jetty

Drummer extraordinaire Gene Peterson will perform at Jetty Memorial Theatre.
Drummer extraordinaire Gene Peterson will perform at Jetty Memorial Theatre.

THIS man is one of those freaks of musical nature.

Phenomenal drummer, exceptional pianist and prolific composer and producer, Gene Peterson came to the world's attention when he won both Australia's Up and Coming Drummer of the Year Billy Hyde's National Drum PlayOff competitions in 2006.

Now he's coming to town, April 28-29, to show the Jetty Theatre a thing or two about irresistible funkiness, accompanied by special guests TMC (New Zealand's Got Talent finalists) and Australia percussion genius Saia Hanlon.

You'll see Gene and company make music from kids toys, office equipment, junk, kitchen utensils and household items, accompanied dancers and the amazed oohs and aahs from the audience.
